Rebecca Hurwood, L.Ac., M.Ac.O.M. believes in Chinese medicine as a holistic approach to health that awakens and optimizes the bodies' natural healing abilities. Rebecca's interest in Asian culture began with martial arts, Taiji and Qigong practice in 1992 which lead her to seek an undergraduate degree in East Asian Studies. She also spent a year in China before becoming an acupuncturist and a certified Thousand Hands Buddha Qigong instructor. Rebecca combines Chinese, Japanese and Tan style acupuncture with Tuina and Sotai bodywork techniques and Chinese herbal therapies to help people achieve and maintain their wellness goals. These ancient healing techniques can actively treat of a wide variety of disorders including but not limited to common cold, gastrointestinal disorders, arthritis, pain, sports injury, surgery recovery, women's health concerns including menopause, fertility, menstrual pain and irregularity. Rebecca is also certified in Facial Rejuvenation Acupuncture, an amazing system to resculpt the face, neck and jaw areas of the face to eliminate wrinkles and promote a glowing complexion.

We will do this by working with the connective tissue surrounding and investing the muscles, bones, and viscera. This will create space allowing your body to heal from past physical trauma. Each session is unique to the individual. The work is gentle, yet deep and within the client’s comfort level. By restoring the inherent suppleness of the connective tissue, a person is able to heal from chronic injuries and live life more fully in their body.
